Download (Version 2.5)

HDFView can be downloaded quickly from here. The Windows, Solaris, Linux and AIX versions listed below (that have an asterisk) include JDK 1.6. If you want a version for these platforms that does not include JDK, see the footnote immediately following. * The versions listed above for Windows, Solaris, Linux, and AIX will install a standalone version of HDFView where JRE1.6 is bundled in the distribution. No additional software is needed to run HDFView. If JDK 1.6 or above is already installed on your machine, you may want the non-JRE distribution. The file size of the HDFView distribution without the Java VM is much smaller.

To obtain the non-JRE distributions, see:   HDFView User's Guide, Section 1.5, Installation

The source distribution is available from ftp://ftp.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/hdf-java/src.

An older release (version 2.4) is also available at ftp://ftp.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/hdf-java-2.4/hdfview/
