HDF5 User Group Meeting 2024 (HUG24)

The 2024 HDF5 User Group Meeting will be held August 5-7, 2024 at the McCormick Tribune Campus Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. HDF5 has been the most used data management and I/O library across the world. For over 25 years, people worldwide have relied on our open-source HDF software to solve some of the most challenging data management problems. At the HDF5 User Group (HUG) meetings, we bring together HDF5 users, developers, ecosystem developers, and future workforce together to accommodate discussion of requirements for future as well as using numerous HDF5 features effectively. You can check out the list of Accepted Presentations so far. We welcome more presentations and discussion at the event.

Register to Attend

You can now register for the 2024 HDF5 User Group Meeting! Registration includes sessions on August 5th, 6th, and 7th. Breakfast and lunch on all three days will be provided, and we will also have an networking dinner at Greek Islands on August 6th (menu), which is included in the registration fee. You’re invited to submit a presentation proposal for a talk or a poster with a short talk. The submission deadline is May 31 (anywhere on Earth). Contact us if you have any questions about the scope of presentations.

Amtrak and Metra commuter rail trains run to Union Station, with additional Metra commuter trains running to Ogilvie Transportation Center. From these stations, take the Rock Island Metra train from LaSalle Street station to 35th Street / “Lou” Jones station, CTA’s public transportation, or a taxi to Mies Campus.
